Conceptual Image

The issue I picked was child abuse because it is still a problem now in many homes. The image I wanted to create was to represent the child in a certain way which was a teddy bear. I picked a teddy bear because it is a toy every kid has had as a child. I picked the quote to go along with the childhood idea. To show the people not to ruin a little boy's or girl's childhood. A child should grow up care free and happy. This teddy bear has been through hard times. I made the bear represent a child who has cuts, blood (the stuffing), bruises ( patches) , and just really bad injuries a child gets when they are abused. They have emotional problems. Like the bear it is sad and  has a broken heart because he don't feel any love and just feels dead inside. I hope that with this image people will be like wow I don't want to ruin my child's life or if the know of someone being mistreated they will call help. 

Graphic Translation Part 2

Here is the final result of my logo Retro Rabbit. I choose colors that felt vintage like that are rich and neutral. I went with the Medic font because I liked how it looks condensed making the word Retro Rabbit not appear so long and it was simple like my graphic rabbit and simple border that still has that vintage feel. 

I have tried multiple colors and fonts as samples to help me compare which one looks best. I wanted a look that was retro and now kind of look where teens would get attracted to the style and buy  vintage clothing that is for boys and girls.

Borders

For me creating a border is very difficult because I do not know how to make a perfect, symmetrical border. I still don't know how to use all the tools correctly to make a border. I was also just experimenting with the shapes to make a border. This is a project I still need to work on. As you can see the bottom one is better because I tired to figure out some of the tools and received help from a classmate. I hope I just get better at making borders.

My Color Collage

Creating a color collage was great. I loved the color collage because I got to play with the fonts and color combinations. It was hard trying to find the cultural meaning of the color ivory. Ivory is a neutral color that does not exist on the color wheel it is a warmer, softer white color. 

Texture

For this project I had to take three pictures showing texture and describing the picture. I found this a bit hard to do because we had to be almost poetic like. 

10 Digital Color Sample

This project was so much fun! It was hard trying to find a good picture to extract the colors from. My favorite color to find was white because it was a bit challenging to find a picture that was pure white.
